Showcasing My Work
Here's a fern! Some progress on my island. Anyway, it's student showcase night at uni tonight. This is what my two years at AIE has come to. Well, not really, but it's a chance to show my work off. There's the video of Weeping Willow on my home page (which you should have seen, unless you came straight to my blog). There are still some touches that I want to make on Weeping Willow, so I'll get another video up when that's all done. I remember last year when I felt so overwhel

All Hail The Great Cylindrical Thingy!
Heres ja' go! Some progress on my island. I painted the palm trees, and they're all facing the same way. The way the trunks curve make them look like some sort of cult that's bowing down to the potential volcano. I find that creepy. Yes, that's supposed to be a volcano, with a hot spring at the top, and a waterfall pouring down. I'm still trying to figure out how make planes double faced, so that the normals aren't invisible. And to make the trees more random, so that they fa

Weeping Willow Re-Done
As well as my island, I'm re-visiting Weeping Willow at the moment. I did that environment in just six weeks, so it's not exactly perfect. Well, it's not entirely finished anyway. Are artworks ever finished anyway? We always create a piece, then beam with pride when it's finished. Then re-visit it six months later, and cringe. Anyway, I prefabricated the trees since I just originally plopped them down and resized them. I've made dock weeds to create a bit more variance on the

When Even My Virtual World Comes Crashing Down
I don't even have a screenshot to show, so here's a stock photo from Wix. Well, hasn't 2016 just been one problem after the other?! We lost beloved musicians, natural disasters, mass shootings, and I don't even want to go into politics. No, not touching it with a fifty foot pole. It's not being willfully ignorant, it's just being fed up with hearing the same angry shit over and over and over again! It's doing my head in. No. I declare Feline Asylum a politics free zone! Anywa

The Closest Thing to an Island Escape
Well, Wix crashed and I lost half of the original blog post, so here we go again. I am very VERY bled dry at the moment. I just wrapped up M.I.A (which drained the life out of me), I am graduating soon, I cannot find the time and inspiration to continue writing my novel, and after almost eleven years in the automotive trade, I am officially done with working as a mechanic. So, I came home from work on Friday after another crappy day (every day is a crappy day at the moment) w
