Blogger gone M.I.A!
LOOK LOOK LOOK! I HAVE A BLOG! LOOK LOOK! I'M SPECIAL!
Hey peoples! So I opened up a blog. Not strictly about gaming and art, but anything from cats, to cheesecake, to vegetables that have grown into somewhat of an erotic shape. So, let me update you about what's currently going on in my hectic life...
So, for the past three months I've been working on a playable trailer for a game called M.I.A. It's a first person atmospheric exploration game, set in a 1970s post-apocalyptic environment. Basically, the player must collect a series of notes scattered around an abandoned apartment complex to reveal the story.
M.I.A. is aimed primarily at young adults, as the game contains gore, and adult themes. The psychological side of the game, i.e. a sense of isolation and abandonment, may not be relatable to a teenage audience either.
As for my role in M.I.A? I'm a concept artist, 3D modeller, and texture artist. Some set dressing as well. Working on a gold release by next week, so I've modelled the imperative interior objects, like furniture, appliances, decoration, etc. I've just got to model little "space filler" objects to give the environment more... "omph" (I can't think up of a better word at the moment). Like power points, boxes, wall hangings, etc. They shouldn't take long to model.
